Family constellations
At regular moments I organize family constellations in collaboration with Ria Baeck. The focus during these meetings are your questions about children. Parents and professionals can attempt these meetings with their questions about the approach of a child or ask for the underlying cause of some difficulties.
Next meeting: will be scheduled. Would you like to be informed? You can subscribe to my newsletter. Location: Via Ventura, Kuypenevijver 27, 2431 Veerle-Laakdal, Belgium.
For a constellation on your question, you pay 50 €. Would you like to participate as a representant, you pay 20 €.
Some information about family constellations:
Family constellations is a method developed by Bert Hellinger based on the idea that nothing exists on its own. This way, he based himself on the insights of systemic theories and contextual therapy by Nagy: everything is connected with something or someone else. In other words: things or people are affected by other things or people. A plant is influenced by the soil in which it stands, the amount of sunlight and rainfall, the plants around and possibly shade or toxic emissions. And so do people: we are linked and influenced by others in our family, colleagues, neighbors, extended family, ... It is not easy to understand how people interact. It's not just what we say to each other, but there are many more subtle ways by which we unconsciously influence each other. It is very difficult to get a clear vision on these interactions and it's difficulty in case of a problem to change these interactions.
Wherever people live together or work together we unconsciously influence eachother in subtle ways that can have a major impact (positive or negative).
Through the method of family constellations we can get to view the hidden relationships between people or the subtle way we interact. As a consequence it's possible to find out how we can change these interactions if necessary.
In my work I realize very often that the problem of the child is not just from the gratuitous. If you work professionally with children, you find despite your experience and professionalism, you can not always be neutral to all children. One child irritates you easier than the other child. Some children are more easy to reach than others. It is not always easy to see what's going on and what makes it difficult to work with some children. And this is important, because if we can, we will also immediately know what we can do to help the child and the family.
At a meeting four setups can be done. First you briefly tell about your situation (how do you work with children, within what context your question is situated) and the question you have about a child (how can I help him to be less excitable? Why does he have these sleepingproblems? what does she need to be more secure? why do I get so soon in conflict with this child, what can I do so this child can feel comfortable in the classroom? Why is it so hard to teach this child despite his good genius ?...).
Then you choose from the persons present representants: people who wil represent various people involved in this situation (including yourself). From then you look from your seat to your situation that is proposed by the representants. The representants tell us how they feel, what they see, what they need to feel better and Ria accompanies the constellation, so we get more visibility on how everyone in this situation is responding to each other and how everyone might co-create or control the problem of the child. Ria searches with the representant for an answer to your question. Afterwards Ria briefly discusses what we saw and you can ask questions in case something was not clear.
Do you still have more questions, you may feel free to contact me.
